Hydrostatic Drive

To improve and facilitate de-icing operations Vestergaard de-icing units are now available with hydrostatic drive.

IMPROVED DRIVING SYSTEM

The de-icer chassis has been modified with a special gearbox in the drive train.
This gearbox accommodates the hydraulic components for both the hydrostatic drive and the working hydraulics.

• Single engine operation

• Easy operation around the aircraft

• Easy change of direction, more convenient operation

• Smooth brake action

• Low fuel consumption

Two operating modes can be selected:

Mechanical drive mode
for road travel via the truck gearbox,hydraulic components are at a standstill.

Hydrostatic drive mode for de-icing
vf =0 - 6 km/h for de-icing
vf =0 - 25 km/h for repositioning
